The scope involves the full demolition of existing tiles and screed layers before the installation of a new waterproofing system compliant with AS 4654.1. The outcome is a structurally sound, fully waterproofed assembly that will perform reliably over the long term.
The building is a mid-rise residential complex in the established Mosman streetscape, featuring cantilevered balconies with integrated planter boxes that are characteristic of its era of construction. The remedial works focus on the balcony decks and planter drainage systems — areas prone to water ingress over time. The completed works restore the visual and functional quality of these outdoor spaces while ensuring compliance with current waterproofing standards, maintaining the building's prestige appearance without alteration to its external character.
